Ready to start harvesting fresh herbs for your meals! I know I am. It brings me such joy to plant herbs and flowers in my yard and on my porch. Cooking with freshly picked organic herbs makes each dish that much more vibrant and tasty! Shop seedlings here.
We are excited to announce that we have local and organic seedlings for your garden needs. Last year we sold seedlings grown on site by a farmer named Mathew Levinson. Mat has had many identities over the years, Capital Greens, Greens Creek Nursery and now Slow Roots Farm on his own land in Kemptville. Just a year ago, Mathew was renting space at the Just Food Farm to produce seedlings and grow produce. One of the goals of the Just Food Farm is to provide farmers that are starting out with land to start their farm business. At the end of the season last year Mat acquired his own land for farming in Kemptville and made the move, opening Slow Roots Farm. We have always loved working with Mat, his produce and seedlings are fantastic and he’s committed to Quality, Community, Connection and Environmental Stewardship. Slow Roots and goodfood2u share these values!
Locally grown, organic, ready to plant seedlings, delivered to your door. Sorry, we can’t plant them for you!
At goodfood2u we love supporting local farms, the success of Slow Roots Farm is something that you as customers have contributed to. Fostering up and coming farmers to expand and grow, keeping local land organic, offering sustainable food options to our community. It’s a win win.
Shop now for seedlings, we will be offering them a couple of times this spring, but make sure you don’t miss out as quantities are limited.
